We love talking about Evermore. If we haven't answered all of your questions below,

please contact us here so that we can!

Ordering & Shipping
I just ordered my food. When will it arrive?

We work with a fulfillment company that has multiple warehouses. Depending on where you live, transit time will vary. If you order before 10am EST Tuesday, you should have your food by Friday no matter where you live (except parts of South Texas, Monday cutoff for y'all). We ship throughout the week based on your specific transit time, but if your order comes in too late to get to you before the weekend, we will hold it until the following Monday to ship. If you have any questions about your specific transit times, drop us a line.

How much is shipping?

Shipping fees are $15 for small cases, $20 for large cases, and $30 for two large cases. That said, if you are interested in NO shipping fees, please consider joining our subscription plan with free shipping! :)

How does my food stay frozen?

We ship in environmentally friendly, biodegradable cold shippers that do a great job of insulating the food. In addition, we use dry ice to keep things nice and chilly during summer months and for warm climates (please use caution when handling—don't worry, we include instructions). Occasionally we use gel ice packs, which are reusable and great for traveling with Evermore!

CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT DRY ICE?

Dry ice is carbon dioxide in its solid form (not to be confused with carbon monoxide). For safe handling we suggest using caution when opening your order and using gloves or a towel or handle the dry ice should it have escaped from it's bags. The main concern with dry ice is the possibility of burns as it is extremely cold. You should leave your dry ice to sublimate (dissolve into the air) in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.

What if my food arrives NOT frozen?

We take every effort to make sure your food arrives to you frozen. If it arrives partially thawed but still cold to the touch (40F or colder), it is still safe to consume, and can be refrozen.  However, if the food arrives fully thawed and no longer refrigerator cold, please contact us ASAP so we can replace it.

Why is your food so expensive?

Based on the quality and cost of the ingredients we source, our food is fairly priced. There is absolutely NO difference between the quality of our food and the “people food” you buy at your local natural grocer or farmer's market. In fact, if you were to go purchase all of these comparable ingredients to make your own version at home, you would likely spend more money—and this does not factor in the cost of prep and cooking time or the research that goes into ensuring a home-cooked diet is complete and balanced (in our case, we get most of our nutrients from whole-food ingredients and only supplement minimally). Perhaps the more important question is: Why is most pet food so cheap?

What is the difference between buying online and in stores?

Our online prices are comparable to those of our retailers. We love our retailers and urge you to support them if there is one within a reasonable distance from your home.

My dog is picky. Can I get a free sample first to see if he likes it?

Even picky dogs tend to love Evermore! At this time there is unfortunately no safe and cost-effective way for us to send a single free sample to an individual. We do offer various sampler pack options for those new to Evermore, which includes free shipping with the code in the product description and a coupon code for 10% off your next purchase.

Do you offer refunds if my pup doesn't like the food?

Nope. If you would like to give the food a try before committing to a larger amount, we would suggest starting with a sampler.

What is your return/refund policy?

If you place an order and need to cancel it before the shipment has gone out, we are happy to accommodate you. Once we have shipped the product to you, however, we cannot offer a refund. If the food arrives to you in a compromised state (e.g., warm food, punctured packaging, etc.), please contact us ASAP and we will replace it.

Using & Storing
How long does it take to thaw a pouch of food?

There are a few ways to easily thaw down Evermore.  You can put it in the fridge to thaw for about a day or overnight.  If you want to thaw it quicker than that, you can either leave it on the counter for a few hours or submerge the unopened pouch in hot (not boiling) tap water for about 10-15 minutes.

What is the best way to store the food one it is opened?

We prefer storing opened, thawed food in a resealable container (e.g. Pyrex); however, many of our customers enjoy the convenience of keeping the food in the pouch and just sealing it with a small binder clip.

How long will the food last?

The food can keep frozen for at least two years, though we conservatively date our packaging at 18 months. Opened, thawed food is good for up to a week in the fridge, just like your own leftovers.

What's the deal with the pouches? Are they safe?

Our pouches are integral to our low temperature “sous vide” cook process.  Like every other aspect of our food, the pouches are intended for “people food” production. Our packaging  film is tested and confirmed to NOT contain BPA and phthalates, latex, brominated flame retardant, CFC’s, DEHP, heavy metals (Cd, Cr(VI), Hg, Pb), PAP’s, PFOA, fungicides/fumigants, or PVC.

How can I get the benefits of Evermore without making it my dog's entire diet?

One of the great things about Evermore is its versatility.  It makes a great healthy mixer or topper with your dog’s regular kibble; in fact, customers report seeing benefits from even a partial diet of Evermore! As a very gentle formula, Evermore transitions smoothly, so if you are feeding your dog a rotational diet, you can easily add Evermore to the mix. Evermore also makes an awesome healthy Kong filler. (Pro tip: Try refreezing it inside of the Kong for a long lasting treat!)

What regular testing is done on your products and ingredients? How often are these tests performed?

We test every lot of all four of recipes from every production run. In addition to doing a Guaranteed Analysis and an extended mineral panel (to spot check our minimal but critical supplement inclusion), we also conduct a food screen that tests for E. coli, salmonella, listeria, Staphylococcus aureus, mold, total coliforms, yeast, and aerobic plate counts. We also get full specs, Certificates of Analysis and Country of Origin statements (when applicable) on all of our ingredients.
